ALTOSONIC V12 - From custody transfer flowmeters to complete solutions

The ALTOSONIC V12 is a 12-chord ultrasonic custody transfer (CT) flowmeter for natural gas. It has been designed to offer the best possible measurement accuracy, not only during calibration under ideal conditions but also during less ideal conditions in the field. As a result, ALTOSONIC V12 is the first ultrasonic flowmeter that was certified to OIML R137 class 0.5 by NMi.

Due to its design with 12 acoustic chords a flow conditioner is no longer required; standards such as AGA9, ISO 17089 and MID are met with just 5D straight inlet piping. CBM flowmeter diagnostics are standard and give an exact picture of what is happening inside the flowmeter. With the optional KROHNE Care diagnostic expert system an integrated web server becomes available that presents the results as an easy to access webpage – in plain language.

KROHNE - PipePatrol Leak Detection System

PipePatrol is a leading edge system for pipeline leak detection and localisation in pipelines. It is the most sensitive internal leak detection system (LDS) available, providing accurate leak information for a high degree of safety. PipePatrol combines the Real Time Transient Model (RTTM) with a patented Leak Pattern Recognition module to create an Extended Real Time Transient Model (E-RTTM). Its multi method leak detection enables pipeline management under both steady and transient pipeline conditions. This way, the LDS is able to reliably distinguish between real leaks and imbalance deviations caused by linefill changes or separation units.

PipePatrol Leak Detection can be retrofitted onto existing pipelines, using existing instrumentation. KROHNE also supplies complete project packages, including flow and other instrumentation, complete with remote data communications.

ALTOSONIC 5 - Ultrasonic flowmeter for custody transfer (CT) measurement in upstream and midstream applications

The ALTOSONIC 5 is a multi-path ultrasonic flowmeter for custody transfer (CT) measurement in upstream and midstream applications of the oil and gas industry. The high accuracy meter is suitable for measuring all types of crudes in transportation, processing, loading or offloading applications as well as all types of refined products or chemicals. Due to its unique paths configuration, the ALTOSONIC 5 is suitable for all flow regimes without Reynolds number limitations. In addition, a vertically mounted transducer pair detects gas on top of the liquid.

OPTIMASS 2400 Mass flowmeter - The first choice for bulk flows for custody transfer

OPTIMASS 2400 is a Coriolis mass flowmeter for bulk measurement and custody transfer of liquids and gases. Whilst the OPTIMASS 2300 has been developed to meet the demanding custody transfer requirements of the oil and gas industry, it is well suited to bulk measurement in many applications. Next to standard Stainless Steel measuring tubes (NACE Compliant), the option of Super Duplex (UNS S32750) provides a maximum operating pressure of 180 barg.

OPTIMASS 2400

OPTIWAVE 7500 - Radar (FMCW) level transmitter for liquids in narrow tanks with internal obstructions

The OPTIWAVE 7500 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for demanding liquid applications involving narrow tanks with long nozzles and internal obstructions like agitators or heating coils. Its very small beam angle and negligible dead zone make this FMCW radar the optimal choice for continuous, non-contact level measurement in both extremely small and very high tanks (up to 100 m / 328 ft). The level transmitter is even able to measure through tank roofs made of non-conductive materials. Its PEEK and PTFE Lens antennas are insensitive to deposits and well suited for corrosive environments. As the antennas are flush-mounted, there is no intrusion into the tank.
